Camilla started working in interior design and fashion from the age of 16; freelancing for magazines and Sera Hersham Loftus researching stage and set design projects and assisting in Interior Design.
After graduating from Kings with a BSc Hons degree she went on to be a fabric buyer and merchandiser for Nicole Farhi, before heading into the city. During this time she did a Diploma in Interior Design.
In 2012 Camilla set up her interior design company as a joint venture with a soft furnishing company with a showroom in Clapham, London. She recently re-branded to form Camilla Hampton Interiors Ltd in Wiltshire and retains her very close relationship with the soft furnishing side of the business, bringing curtain making and upholstery entirely in-house.
Camilla is passionate about creating bespoke furniture and joinery pieces for her clients which enrich her clients homes on a completely personal level.
Examples include a beautiful antique brass inlaid puzzle table, dining tables, chests of drawers, sink units and cupboards.
Camilla is as comfortable working with her clients’ existing antiques, re-working them into a more contemporary scheme where necessary as she is with sourcing art and furniture for whole projects from scratch.
